Use either tool alone, or let the operator connect the workflow.
Installing one project does not install another, share credentials, or widen permissions. The AI client or human operator decides when a researched article moves into review or a separately approved Ghost action.

Are these tools free to use?+
Yes. Ghost Publisher MCP is MIT licensed. Source-Backed Blog Writer is openly licensed under CC BY 4.0. You still provide any AI account, Ghost hosting, or third-party service the workflow uses.
Do I need BlogFactory to use them?+
No. Both tools work independently. BlogFactory is a separate open-source control plane for multi-site content operations and draft-only CMS delivery.
Are the two tools bundled together?+
No. They are separate repositories, installations, and authority boundaries. Installing one does not install or authorize the other.
Do these tools include an AI model?+
No. They use the capabilities available in the AI client or account you choose. BlogFactoryHQ does not sell model credits through these tools.
Where do credentials go?+
The writing skill does not include a credential service. Ghost Publisher runs locally and reads the Ghost Admin key from the local MCP client environment.
Who maintains the projects?+
Both projects are maintained by BlogFactoryHQ. Their repositories remain the source of truth for releases, issues, licenses, and security guidance.
